Note From the President!

Our Annual General Business Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 30th at 9:00 AM. in the Enchantment Ballroom.  As the last event of the conference, we often struggle with keeping our members present for this important function.  I am encouraging you as leaders to “lead by example” and be present for this meeting! Below is a copy of the Agenda and minutes from our last meeting in Springdale Arkansas in 2010 for your review.  Minimal copies will be available at the meeting, so bring your copy if you would like to have a hard copy of your own.

At this meeting you will hear from all the Standing and Ad Hoc Committees – they will update you on the important business of Southwest NAHRO! This will be our last official meeting as a general body, and I would like to  say how great it has been serving as your President for the past two years.  I am always quick to say that Southwest is the BEST Region in the nation, and I firmly believe it!!

We have one more Southwest meeting this year – our Transitional Meeting in August, and I am asking that all of you do your best to attend.  The Transitional meeting is a critical time when we will finalize out leadership for National and provide training and input to all of our committees…. Please adjust your schedule to be there if you plan to be a part of our leadership Team!

Time has just flown by these past two year….. but that’s how it goes when you are with friends!  Safe travels to New Mexico, I look forward to seeing you there!

"Coat & Tie Affair"
The Charles Farris Award is the most prestigious award an individual can receive in the Southwest Region. In an effort to honor the recipient and their family, this event will continue to follow the “Coat & Tie” tradition. So dig your evening dresses, coats and ties out of your closet for this event and join us in honoring this year’s recipient.  Following the dinner we will be entertained by the Gonzolo Band, so don’t forget to bring you dancing shoes!
